The warehouse was a cavern of shadows and cold steel, the air thick with the metallic scent of old blood and the heavy, humid silence of impending death.

In the center of the floor, under a single, flickering halogen bulb, six figures were chained to heavy wooden chairs. Five boys and one girl, their designer clothes rumpled, their faces masks of entitled arrogance that hadn't yet shattered.
